Overview
OlympusDAO is a decentralized reserve currency protocol on Ethereum, best known for introducing the (3,3) staking mechanism where OHM holders earn rebases — compounding yield every 8 hours. Olympus Give is a charitable giving platform built on top of this mechanism. I served as Product Lead, taking the product from concept through public launch and the V2 upgrade. The core idea: stakers can redirect their yield to any wallet, cause, or organization of their choosing, without ever touching their principal.
The Challenge
Charitable giving in the US was at a decades-long low — fewer than half of US households donated in 2020 — driven by donor mistrust of traditional nonprofits, opaque fund allocation, and high administrative overhead. At the same time, DeFi had no native mechanism for philanthropy; yield was either compounded or withdrawn, never redirected for social good. The challenge was to design a giving product that was lossless, trustless, and effortless — one that aligned with DeFi-native values while opening a new category of on-chain social impact.
How It Works
A trustless yield-redirect mechanism — donors give without spending, recipients earn without barriers.

What I Built
01
Lossless Giving Mechanism
Designed the core yield-redirect flow: stakers deposit sOHM and designate a recipient. From that point, every rebase (every ~8 hours) accrues to the recipient automatically. Donors retain full ownership of their principal and can withdraw at any time — making every donation technically lossless.
02
Partner Onboarding & Redemption UX
Built a two-sided product: a donor flow for redirecting yield, and a recipient redemption UI that let organizations and individuals claim accumulated rebases on their own schedule. Launched with 5 curated partners across environment, open-source, and financial inclusion — and coordinated Popcorn's $50K donation match at launch.
03
V2 — gOHM Support & Grants Expansion
Led the V2 upgrade, which added support for gOHM deposits (the governance-weighted OHM token) and expanded the recipient set to include approved Olympus Grants recipients. This opened Olympus Give to a broader set of community-driven causes and aligned the product with the broader OlympusDAO ecosystem.
